PCI's Inquiry Committee holds first meeting in Guwahati

The Press Council of India's (PCI) Inquiry Committee today held its first meeting under the chairmanship of Justice C K Prasad here today.
The three-day meeting, beginning today, would consider 33 cases of violation of press freedom, an official release said.
On the first day of the meeting, 25 press violation cases were taken up for hearing.
The Committee would also consider ethics-related cases pertaining to the North East region including Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha, the release added.
