Reaffirming its commitment to establish a new system of justice and equality in Jammu and Kashmir, PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today sought support from every section of the society in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
PDP has fielded best candidates for the Lok Sabha elections so that peoples' issues are effectively raised in Parliament, he said, addressing a meeting organised by former minister Sardar Rangil Singh here.
Sayeed asked the people to compare credentials and merits of PDP's candidates with nominees of other political parties.

"We want to give credible and tested representatives to the people. So the party has fielded best candidates for the Lok Sabha elections," he said.
He added that with the support and cooperation of the people, PDP would channelise "the energy of the people to bring positive change" in the state.
Accusing the present government of bad governance, Sayeed said it had alienated the people, especially the youth.
"Unlike other parts of the country, bad governance has dangerous ramifications in J&K because failure to provide good governance to the people usually fuels alienation among masses, youth in particular," he said.
"During the last five and half years, alienation among people has increased manifold due to bad governance in the state," he said and sought support of people of every section of the society to change the destiny of the people of the state.
Backing PDP candidate from Jammu-Poonch constituency, Yash Pal Sharma, Sayeed said his victory would strengthen inter-regional unity in the state.
