Pedana Municipal Chairman Yarra Seshagiri Rao passed away at a private hospital in Vijayawada today following prolonged illness, family sources said.
He was 75.
Rao(TDP) is survived by three sons and one daughter. He had been undergoing treatment for last one month for old-age problems, they said.
He was elected as the Municipal Chairman in 2014. Previously he was elected five times as a Municipal Councilor for Pedana Municipality of Krishna district.
K Ravindra, Minister for Excise and B C Welfare and K Venkata Rao, MLA (Pedana) besides B Venugopala Rao, Ex-Municipal Chairman and several TDP leaders expressed condolence over Sashigiri Rao's death.
