Peon rapes girl inside clinic in east Delhi

A 17-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a peon of dental clinic inside it in east Delhi's Mandawli following which the accused was arrested, the police said today.

The victim, a Class XI student, lives near the clinic, they said, adding the girl and the accused became friends on Facebook and subsequently started meeting each other.

Yesterday, after the doctor left the clinic for his home, the accused called the girl inside it and raped her, the police said.

After the girl reached home, her mother found her to be unnecessarily quiet and asked her the reason for her behaviour.
 

She broke down and narrated her ordeal, following which her family approached police and a case was registered, the police said. The accused was arrested today.
