Permission sought for starting academic session at AIIMS

The Centre has been requested to issue notification for admission of 100 MBBS students for the session, Bihar Health minister Ashwani Chaube said today.

The minister, who wrote to his union counterpart Ghulam Nabi Azad yesterday, said undergraduate medical students of AIIMS will do their practicals at the 300-bed Guru Govind Singh hospital in Patna city.

He made an inspection of the campus infrastructure and said provision of electricity, water, roads for medical students was satisfactory.

The AIIMS hospital building is under construction and expected to be functional next year, he said.
