Peter Mitchell lands 'Holby City' guest role

Former "Coronation Street" and "Hollyoaks" star Peter Mitchell has joined "Holby City".

The actor posted the news on his Twitter page, reported Digital Spy.

"In London for a few days filming on @BBCHolbyCity , here we go," Mitchell wrote.

He revealed he is currently in the capital for "a few days filming".

There are no details yet on who he will play or what the nature of his character is.

Mitchell was last seen in Corrie playing a friend of Sinead Tinker.
