A pharmacist has been fined for chewing 'Gutkha' at a district hospital while attending a patient, an official said today.
During a raid at the hospital yesterday, District Collector KS Chauhan spotted the pharmacist chewing 'Gutkha' while attending patients and slapped a fine of Rs 500 on him, the official added.
Chauhan directed the Chief Medical Superintendent to penalise the guilty.
"Though a ban on Gutkha exists in UP but the said incident reveals the violation of the order," Chauhan said.
