Pilgrims visiting Char Dham in Uttarakhand from this year will get better amenities, including lodging facilities and medical aid, Chief Minister Harish Rawat said.

"The state government is making all-out effort to provide better facilities to pilgrims who will visit Char Dham this year," Rawat said yesterday while talking to a delegation of Char Dham Hotel Association, an official release issued here said today.

Rawat said, he himself will travel to different parts of the country to give a message of "Safe Uttarakhand" to people.

Claiming that the staying facility for about 4,000 people will be provided to pilgrims at Kedarnath besides better tracking routes and availability of medical teams, Rawat said that several helipads will also be made between Guptkashi and Kedarnath.
