The railway will soon prepare a plan to address the water scarcity problem at Jalandhar Cantt and Jalandhar City railway stations here in view of approaching summer, a senior official said here today.
"Water is the main requirement for any passenger. We are trying to solve the issue, will soon discuss the matter with other officials and will try to address it soon," Anuj Prakash, Divisional Railway Manager, Ferozepur Division, told PTI.
"Recently, the railway ministry has announced to launch a company in collaboration with Punjab government to improve the condition of railway stations in the state," he said.
