PM salutes valour, sacrifices of soldiers
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today saluted the valour and sacrifice of the soldiers and veterans on the Armed Forces Flag Day.
"On #ArmedForcesFlagDay we salute the valour & sacrifice of our brave soldiers & veterans and re-affirm our commitment to their welfare," he tweeted.
The day is dedicated annually towards collection of funds from people for the welfare of the Armed Forces personnel. It has been observed since 1949.
On the occasion, the Prime Minister also met officers of the Kendriya Sainik Board. They pinned a flag on his jacket.
