Prime Minister Narendra Modi today interacted with three BJP MLAs from Chhattisgarh over phone.
State Forest Minister and Bijapur legislator Mahesh Gagda, Manendragarh MLA Shyambihari Jayaswal and legislator from Raipur (North) Srichand Sundrani got a conference call from the PM, a BJP media cell member said here.
"The PM asked us to work for the betterment of people. He asked us to apprise people of every scheme of the government for their effective implementation. The PM also asked us to stay connected with people," Sundrani told PTI.
During the around 45-minute-long interaction, the PM asked them to go among people, spend at least one night in villages and get feedback on government schemes, the MLA said.
A handful of MPs paralysed Parliament (during the recent Budget session). They are strangulating the democracy and did not allow the government to do its work, the MLA quoted the prime minister as telling them.
The PM called upon them to take this issue to people, Sundrani said.
To protest the washed-out Parliament session, he will be observing a day-long fast tomorrow, the prime minister said, according to Sundrani.
