PM to visit Tripura on December 1

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay a maiden visit to Tripura since assuming office to inaugurate the second unit of the Palatana thermal power project on December 1.

Official sources said Chief Minister Manik Sarkar chaired a meeting today to review the preparation in view of the PM's visit.

State ministers, senior bureaucrats and top police officials were present at the meeting along with those from ONGC-Tripura Power Corporation, the sources added.
