Poacher dies after accidentally trigerring his gun

A poacher was killed on the spot when he accidentally triggered his gun in a forest area near Kandhikuppam in this district today, police said.

The man was hunting in the Kuruvinayanpatti forest area when the gun accidentally went off, killing him, they said.

Investigations are on to ascertain how exactly this happened, they said.
