Two persons wanted in several robbery
cases were arrested here today, police said.
The accused, identified as Gurcharan and Khushvinder Singh, had been injured in an encounter on June 25 here in which two alleged gangsters Sukhdev and Inderpreet were killed by Chandigarh Police, they said.
Police admitted the duo to a civil hospital for medical treatment and arrested them as soon as they were discharged.
On June 25, Sukhdev and Inderpreet, involved in several robbery cases, were killed in cross-firing on Moga by-pass road during a police chase.
Police is investigating the case.
