Police today claimed to have busted a gang of chain snatchers after arresting three of its members here, an official said.
The accused were identified as Munish Gupta, Anubhav Khajuria and Gourav Bali of Jammu, a police officer said, adding the trio was nabbed by a special team led by SHO Bakshi Nagar Inspector Ashwani Sharma.
They were active from the last one year and have snatched chains in Subash Nagar, Vikas Nagar, Gurha Bakshi Nagar areas.
Three chain snatching cases has been solved and as many chains of three tolas, along with a bike, have been recovered based their disclosure, he said.
The possibility of nexus between this gang and drug traffickers is also being looked into, the official said, adding further probe was on.
