Police bust fake currency racket, arrest two in Jammu

Police in Jammu today busted a fake currency racket and arrested two persons along with three lakh fake Indian currency from their possession, a police officer said.

On a specific information, Abdul Rashid a resident of Anantnag district and Abdul Gani a resident of Gandoh in Doda district were arrested from Jammu bus stand today when they were boarding the vehicles.

"We have recovered fake currency worth three lakh from their possession", he said.

He said that during the initial investigations the accused reveledHe said that during the initial investigations the accused revealed that they had obtained the fake currency from West Bengal.
 

The police has registered a case and started the investigations in the case, he said.
