The Pune police today claimed to have busted a liquor party at Dattawadi in Hinjewadi area and detained at least 50 youths for drinking liquor without permission.
An officer at Hinjewadi police said that they also have seized bottles of country-made and foreign liquor.
"We received information that a group of college going youth are consuming liquor without permission at about 3 AM. After this we conducted a raid and detained the youth for some time for violating section 67 (C) of Maharashtra Anti-liquor Law (1949). They were admonished and released after some time," the police officer said.
Police said they have arrested one Neeran Jadhav (21), a resident of Aundh area for organising the party at his farmhouse.
