Police constable's son kidnapped by cousin, rescued

A police constable's 20-year-old son, who was kidnapped by his cousin for ransom, has been rescued and two kidnappers arrested, police said today.
Manish, a B.Sc student, was kidnapped on Monday after he left home for some work. His family received a ransom call for Rs 30 lakh the day after, Superintendent of Police Umesh Kumar Singh said.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team yesterday carried out a raid and rescued Manish.

Police also arrested two kidnappers -- Manish's cousin and his associate, the SP said.
The police team has been rewarded with Rs 15,000 by the Inspector General of Police for the successful rescue operation, the SP said.
