Police recovers powerful IED

The Police today recovered a powerful improvised explosive device (IED) from a village in Ramgarh district.

The IED was kept hidden under the road, Superintendent of Police of Ramgarh, Kishore Kaushal, said.

The SP said that the police recovered IED hidden under road connecting Kuju of Ramgarh district to neighbouring Bokaro district.

"We found high intensive IED in the shape of can bomb on a road which was suspected to be planted by rebels to target the police," he said.

The IED recovered was later defused by bomb disposal experts.
