Police seizes 31 bovines in Doda

Police today seized 31 bovine animals from smugglers in the Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Acting on specific information, police laid a trap at Nagni Top area in the district and rescued the bovines which were being smuggled towards Kashmir, a police officer said.

The smugglers escaped from the spot, he said, adding, a hunt has been launched to nab them.

A case has been registered at Police Station Doda and further investigation is on, he said.
