Police trace missing child with help of CCTV footage

A 10-day-old baby girl went missing from the maternity ward of the Government Rajaji Hospital here today but she was later traced with the help of CCTV footage which helped police nab the culprits, police said.

The child went missing after her mother went out to buy breakfast in the morning.

Police after examining CCTV footage noticed a woman belonging to Rajapalayam leaving with the child from the hospital.

This woman had delivered two girls of which one died and the other was in the incubator. She was also in the same ward as the mother of the abducted baby, police said.
 

The woman and her husband have been arrested, police said.
