Policeman arrested for accepting bribe

The vigilance sleuths today arrested an assistant sub-inspector of police of Tumba outpost in Odisha's Ganjam district for allegedly taking bribe from a person.

Harihara Pani was caught red handed while accepting cash Rs 10,000 from a person at his office, said vigilance SP, Berhampur, Manoranjan Panda.

The accused ASI had promised not to register a case against the person's brother after taking bribe, he said.
