A policeman was killed while four others injured when their car skid off a bridge on the Sinnar- Shirdi road near here, police said today.
Vijay Kakad, who was posted at crime branch in Nanded district, was in Nashik for a training along with his four other colleagues, Wadi police station inspector Hemant Patil said.
The five men headed towards Shirdi for paying visit to the Sai Baba temple yesterday in a car when the mishap took place late last night as the four-wheeler skid off the bridge, he said.
Soon after receiving an alert, a police team was rushed to the spot.
Kakad, who belonged to Amravati, died while en route to hospital while the four injured are being treated at a hospital in Sinnar, the officer said.
