An assistant sub inspector (ASI) of Madhya Pradesh Police was killed and two others injured when the SUV, in which they were travelling, overturned near Chor Pandhra village of the district.
The ASI identified as Vedprakash Mishra was killed when the vehicle overturned late yesterday night on his way to Pathakheda,Sarni Police Station in-charge Vikram Rajak said.
Rajak informed that Mishra was travelling to Pathakheda along with two others in the SUV when it turned turtle near Chor Pandhra village.
"Mishra died on the spot while two others were injured. The accident occurred between 12.30 and 1 AM. He was going for an investigation of a criminal case," Rajak said.
A case has been registered and further investigations are underway, he added.
