Puducherry Chief Minister V.Narayanasamy today greeted teachers in the Union Territory on the eve of Teachers' Day celebrations.
In his message, he referred to the crucial role teachers were playing in shaping the destiny of the students. He urged the teachers to keep rendering services for betterment of the students and thereby for development of the nation.
Education Minister R Kamalakannan, Lok Sabha MP R.Radhakrishnan, PCC leader A.Namassivayam, former Chief Minister and Leader of the opposition N.Rangasamy and leaders of various political parties also greeted the teachers.
As tomorrow happens to be a holiday on account of Vinayaka Chaturthi festival, the Puducherry government will celebrate Teachers' Day on September 9, the Education Minister said.
