The Narcotics Wing of Madhya Pradesh Police seized over 30 quintals of poppy husk, worth above Rs 71 lakh, in the district Friday, a senior official said.
Additional Director General of Police Ajay Kumar Sharma said a truck was intercepted at Singoli, about 120 km from here, following a tip-off.
The Narcotics Wing team found 350 bags of poppy husk in the truck, hidden under sacks of wheat flour.
Farsaram Vishnoi, a resident of Lohawat in Jodhpur district of Rajasthan, was arrested and the truck was seized.
A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act was registered against Vishnoi and further probe was on, Sharma said.
