In light of the terror attack on an Army-run school at Peshawar in Pakistan, Mumbai Police are reviewing the security measures being undertaken by educational institutes in their campuses.
After conducting security audits, police are providing a list of dos and don'ts to ensure safety of students and school staffers.
"The Government has already issued guidelines to educational institutions with regards to security. We are checking if the institutions are abiding by them," Dhananjay Kulkarni, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Spokesperson), said today.

Personnel at the police station level have been involved in enforcing the security guidelines. "The schools and colleges are providing details to police about the number of entry and exit points they have and security guards employed in the campuses, among others," he said.
"Based on security audit result, we are advising the institutes to focus on areas where improvement is required," Kulkarni added.
