Power discom TPDDL launches 'Samman' initiative for senior

The power discom Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL) has launched an initiative for senior citizens to provide them special services like doorstep documentation, online bill payment assistance and other free health benefits.

The programe named 'Samman' is aimed at enhancing the engagement of the senior citizen consumers specially those who are staying alone, a statement issued by the company said.

"Under the program, the company is providing special services like doorstep documentation, complaint resolution, priority call support, online bill payment assistance and SMS services among others," the statement said.

As part of the programme, routine check-ups including blood sugar, ECG and blood pressure along with free consultation by cardiologists, orthopedicians will be organised for the elderly.
 

Free health, yoga and meditation sessions by qualified trainers will also be held for them.

Senior citizen consumers can enrol for Samman by providing an ID proof along with the bill. Over 1,000 senior citizens have already enrolled.
