President condoles death of E Ahamed

President Pranab Mukherjee today condoled the death of former Union minister E Ahamed, who had suffered a heart attack during the former's address to the Joint Session of Parliament.

In a tweet, the President expressed heartfelt condolences over the sad demise of the IUML National President and described him as a friend and colleague of long years.

"The President said Ahamed was a tireless campaigner for the welfare of underprivileged and his services to the nation will be long remembered," a Rashtrapati Bhavan statement said.
