President Pranab to visit Birbhum during Puja

The President would stay in his native places Kiranhar and Miriti between October 19 and October 23, a communication from the President's secretariat, which reached the office of the district magistrate today, said.

Jagdish Prasad Meena, the district magistrate, said that a team comprising the President's personal secretary and other security officers will reach Bolpur on Tuesday.

The Puja, which is marked by traditionality and was started by Mukherjee's grandfather Jangaleswar Mukherjee, will step into the 118th year this year.
