President Pranab Mukherjee today greeted people on the eve of Holi saying the festival symbolises the spirit of tolerance and harmony.
In his 'Holi' message, the President said the festival symbolises the vibrant colours of "our diverse multi-cultural society and the spirit of tolerance and harmony that has been the essence of our culture and civilisation.
"May this unique festival of colours be a joyous expression of the spirit of pluralism. May it strengthen the fraternal bonds amongst our citizens," he said.
