President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today led the nation in paying tribute to late President Shankar Dayal Sharma on his 95th birth anniversary.
The President and the Prime Minister along with Vice President Hamid Ansari and Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar paid the floral tributes at his samadhi 'Karma Bhoomi'.
Sharma's wife Vimla Sharma was also present on the occasion.
Born on August 19, 1918, Sharma was elected as the ninth President of India and held the office between July 1992 and July 1997.
