Prices of select commodities rise

Prices of tur dal, urad dal, moong dal, gram dal and sooji increased while wheat decreased, other commodities remained unchanged in the whole sale foodgrains market here today.

Urad dal, moong dal rose by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 8,000 and Rs 9,000 from its yesterday's rate of Rs 7,800 and 8,800 respectively.

Tur dal, gram dal was up by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 7,100 and Rs 3,900 from its yesterday's rate of Rs 7,000 and Rs 3,800.

Sooji(90 kgs) was up by Rs 100 to Rs 2,500 from Rs 2,400.

Wheat decreased by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 2,300 from Rs 2,400.
 

Sugar and Maida ruled steady.

Following are the wholesale rates of various agri- commodities (in Rs per quintal, except where stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 7,100 Urad Dal Rs 8,000 Moong Dal Rs 9,000 Gram Dal Rs 3,900 Sugar Rs 3,300 Wheat Rs 2,300 Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,400 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 2,500.
