Prince leaves restaurant without paying bill

Pop star Prince was left red-faced when he forgot to stock up his wallet with cash and was unable to pay his bill at a top restaurant.

The 55-year-old 'Purple Rain' hitmaker headed for a meal with a friend at chef Michael White's Costata eaterie but when it came time to settle the bill, he realised he had no money with him, reported New York Post.

A member of Prince's security team eventually explained the embarrassing mishap to the restaurant manager.

The manager finally agreed that the singer could settle the debt the following day.
