Singer Prince is resting at home following his hospitalisation on early Friday morning.
The 57-year-old singer was rushed to hospital in Illinois after his private plane was forced to make an emergency landing when he fell ill on board, reported People magazine.
A representative for the singer confirmed that was taken to the hospital in Moline, Illinois, where he was treated and released three hours later. He is said to have been battling flu for a number of weeks.

Prince is currently in the middle of his 'Piano and a Microphone' tour, but last week he postponed two shows in Atlanta after falling ill. After rescheduling the shows, he performed in the city on Thursday night.
Last month Prince announced he was writing his first memoir, which is expected to arrive in autumn 2017. Tentatively titled 'The Beautiful Ones' the book has been described by publishers as 'an unconventional and poetic journey through his life and creative work'.
