Principal booked for sexual exploitation of minor girl

The Principal of a private English medium school near here has been booked for alleged sexual exploitation of a 14-year-old girl student who has become pregnant.

A case has been registered against the Principal under Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act, 2012, on the basis of a complaint filed by the girl's parents, Deputy Superintendent of Police R V Ram Babu said.

A medical examination of the minor girl at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) here has revealed that she is six months pregnant, he said.

The Principal had called the girl at his residence on the pretext of giving her "special coaching" and sexually exploited her, the police officer said.
