Private doctors hold demo against illegal ultrasound centres

"Over 20 such illegal ultrasound clinics are running with connivance of the district health officers, who charge a large sum from these clinics," the members of the Private Medical Practitioner Welfare Association (PMPWA) alleged.

The association president, V K Sharma, accused the state health department of not conducting raids in the district for years.

The association also submitted a memorandum addressed to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav to District Magistrate Aparna Upadhyaya.
