Probe ordered into case of youth pushed out of local train

Railway Police Commissioner Ravindra Singhal ordered the Thane railway police here today, to carry out a detailed enquiry into a recent incident in which a youth was pushed out of a running railway train.

On March 29, 22-year-old Gaurav Punjwani, a resident of Hiranandani Estate, travelling in an overcrowded train standing near the entrance of the railway bogie, when he was pushed out of the running train at it approached Thane railway station.

The badly wounded Gaurav was spotted by Rajendra Jaitpar who rushed him to a private hospital.

After gaining consciousness, the injured Gaurav said that his pocket was picked by some unknown person as the train approached Thane station at about 5 pm and he was pushed out of the running local train.
