Prohibitory orders were today imposed in Nawapara town of Raipur district after a clash between members of two different communities, police said.
"The clash broke out between peopleof two communities this afternoon over a fight between two boys (belonging to different communities). To control the situation, section 144 has been imposed in Nawapara (restricting assembly of more than four people)," Raipur Collector Ram Singh Thakur told PTI.
The situation is under control and a large number of police personnel have been deployed to prevent any untoward incident, Thakur said.

As groups of people from both sides gathered in, the situation took an ugly turn in Nawapara town, located about 40 kms from the district headquarters.
Soon after getting information of tension in the area, Collector and SP rushed to the spot to control the situation.
No injuries have been reported so far in the incident.
However, some local shops suffered minor damages during the clash, the SP said.
Some people from both sides have been taken into custody in this connection, he said, adding that efforts are on to pacify people from both the communities.
