Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today approved 42 civic and road projects for Bathinda involving estimated cost of Rs 1,200.98 crore.
The state will witness a major transformation in next three years with the overhauling of the civic amenities both in urban and rural areas across the state, Badal said in a statement issued here.
Giving detail, the statement said sewerage treatment plants would be set up in Sangrur, Bassi Pathana, Sanaur, Khanna, Phagwara, Abohar, Majitha, Sirhind, Barnala, Jaiton, Faridkot, Kotkapura, Guru Harsahai, Goniana, Rampuraphul, Mansa, Sardulgarh, Bareta and Talwandi Sabo towns.

The Punjab Government was committed to provide 100 per cent water supply in all 150 towns, BadaL said.
The towns to be covered under water supply programme included Khanna, Rampura Phul, Maur Mandi, Mansa, Sardulgarh, Bareta, Budhlada and Bhikhi.
A multilevel car parking would also be constructed in Bathinda, the statement added.
