A group of five armed assailants shot dead a property dealer in Jafrabad area of north-east Delhi last night, police said today.
The dealer was identified as Akhil Mallik (32), police said, adding that two of his neighbours -- Inam (45) and Ismail (25) -- were injured in the attack.
"The incident took place around 11:30 pm when the assailants opened fire indiscriminately on them," a police officer said.

Eyewitnesses told police that over a dozen rounds were fired during the attack.
The attackers also fired shots in the air in order to threaten the locals before fleeing.
A PCR van reached the spot after locals informed police and the injured were taken to the Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, where Malik was declared brought dead.
Police suspect that the attack was carried out over some property disputes.
Investigators claimed to have identified two of the assailants -- Hashim Baba and Rashid. Both of them have criminal history, but police are yet to make any arrest.
A case of murder and attempt to murder has been filed at the Jafrabad police station.
Malik's body was handed over to his family members after postmortem today. He is survived by his wife Firdaus and two minor sons.
