Prosthetic limbs distributed to accident survivors

"A total of 140 persons were killed and 900 were injured in road accident last year in Nadia. It happened basically for the bad condition of NH-34 in the district," District Magistrate Abhinav Chandra told mediapersons at a programme to distribute prosthetic limbs to the accident survivors.

So there has been a lot of repair and maintenance work going on the highway, he said.

In association with All India Maheswari Mahasabha based in Rishra, the district administration distributed the prosthetic limbs to those who had to amputate limbs following the accidents.
