Protest against right-wing activist for making derogatory

Scores of muslims stage a protest at the district collectorate here against a right-wing activist for allegedly making derogatory remarks against Islam in Lucknow last week, police said here today.

"Some anti-social elements are trying tofan communal feelings and they must be brought to book," said a protester Yunus Khan.

Later, they also handed over a memorandum, addressed to the UP Chief Minster, to the district administration demanding that sedition charges must be slapped against the activist.

Yesterday, a case was also registered against the right-wing activist in Jansath town of the Muzaffarnagar district for allegedly making the derogatory remarks.
