Slogans demanding repeal of the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act in Kashmir and the Valley's 'azadi' (freedom) were raised in a protest rally in the city today.
The rally was organised by the CPI-ML-affiliated United Democratic Students Federation (UDSF) and Association of the Protection of Democratic Rights (APDR) to protest against the death of civilians in clashes with security forces in Kashmir.
The widespread agitation and clashes in the Valley were sparked by the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani in an encounter last Friday.
