Public warned about movement of bears

: Forest Department officials here have warned the public about movement of bears in Denkanikottai area.

Officials said that in view of the water scarcity in the forest area, bears, deer and elephants were straying into residential areas in the vicinity.

They further said a team led by Ranger Arumugam had been monitoring the movement of animals and CCTV footage revealed that 20 bears had been sighted.
