The Puducherry government today ordered an inquiry into the allegations of malpractices and maladministration of the government-owned Puducherry Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) during the previous regime.
This was informed in the assembly by Revenue and Transport Minister M O H F Shah Jahan when A Anbalagan (AIADMK) said that the PRTC had suffered losses during the previous regime "because of corruption, maladministration and mismanagement."
While pointing out that kickbacks and corrupt practices had hit the PRTC, he urged the government to conduct a detailed enquiry into the functioning of the corporation in the previous regime.
