Puducherry Pradesh Congress Committee has written to the AICC seeking "disciplinary action" against senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP, P Kannan for abstaining from electioneering in the April 24 Lok Sabha polls here to seek support of voters to party nominee V.Narayanasamy.
Addressing reporters here today, PCC president A V Subramanian said that as Kannan is an MP action could be taken against him for his "lapse" only by AICC.
PCC had also identified all those who had distanced themselves from poll campaign and very soon show cause notice would be issued to them calling for explanation, he said.

Subramanian said Congress would fight the Assembly poll in 2016 on its own without forging alliance with any party. "We will be able to prove the party's strength" he said.
