Pulses settle steady in thin trading

Pulse prices after moving in a tight range in the absence of any worthwhile activity, settled steady at the wholesale market in the national capital today.

Traders said an improvement in supplies after the government announced measures to check prices amid slackened demand, kept pulse prices at last levels.

Following are today's pulses rates (in Rs per quintal):

Urad Rs 7,700-8,100, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 8,500-8,700, urad best Rs 8,700-9,300, Dhoya Rs 9,100-9,400, Moong Rs 6,500-7,200, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 7,300-7,800, Moong Dhoya local Rs 7,300-7,600 and best quality Rs 8,100-8,200.

Masoor small Rs 6,600-6,700, bold Rs 6,600-6,800, Dal Masoor local Rs 7,650-7,750, best quality Rs 7,750-7,850, Malka local Rs 7,800-8,150, best Rs 7,900-8,200, Moth Rs 5,500-5,800, Arhar Rs 7,300-7,400, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 8,700-8,850.
 

Gram Rs 4,550-5,250, Gramdal (local) Rs 4,850-5,050, best quality Rs 4,950-5,250, Besan (35 kg), Shakti Bhog Rs 2,100,Rajdhani Rs 2,100, Rajma Chitra Rs 4,650-5,750, Kabuli Gram small Rs 4,200-6,400, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 5,300-5,700, Peas white Rs 2,775-2,800 and green Rs 2,775-2,875.
