Pune man held in Goa for carrying ganja
A 54-year-old man from Pune has been arrested from Calangute beach, 10 kms from here, for allegedly possessing drugs, police said today.
The accused- Harish Chandrakant Joshi- a resident of Koregaon Park in Pune, was arrested last night and ganja was recovered from him during a raid conducted by Calangute police.
Police are yet to disclose the quantum and the value of the seized ganja.
"The raid was conducted based on a tip-off that Joshi would be arriving with the drugs," Police Inspector Jivba Dalvi said.
Police have registered a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
