A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped by two youth after kidnapping her from her school's entrance in Cantt area here.
The class X student has alleged that after her grandfather dropped her at the school yesterday, she was kidnapped by two unknown persons in a car, while she was waiting for another friend at the school entrance, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarter) Alka Meena said.
According to the girl, the duo raped her and dropped her back at the school entrance around 2 pm, Meena said.
A case has been registered against two unidentified youth following the complaint by the girl's family members.
The police, however claim that the accused may be known to the victim and the whole incident can be a love affair gone wrong.
"It seems she knows the accused. Prima facie its a case of love affair. She is not revealing much about the accused and if they were unknown why would they drop her back at school," Meena said.
"Her mobile records are being scrutinized and an investigation is underway," she said.
Another senior police officer said yesterday was the last day to fill admission form in the school and as the girl didn't turn up, a teacher called up her house and both the parties came to know about the missing.
We are also looking for CCTV cameras at the school's entrance, Meena said, adding the medical examination has revealed no injury marks on the girl's body.
